IMI GRADE 2 - IT ALL STARTS HERE

Getting IMI certification really is the 'Kitemark' for quality training in the glass industry.
The IMI Grade 2 accreditation is the entry level grading towards becoming a fully accredited Auto Glazing Technician. To achieve accreditation, technicians must pass a series of practical assessments and an online knowledge test at an ATA Approved Assessment Centre. To be eligible to take this assessment, a technician should ideally have a minimum level of 1 years' experience in an auto glazing role.
IMI qualifications are based on National Occupational Standards to ensure that it meets the skills requirements of the retail motor industry. Call us for more information about prices and dates.

SKILL TESTS FOR THE IMI GRADE 2 ACCREDITATION:

  • Remove and replace a windscreen
  • Repair chips and cracks
  • Remove and replace body glass
  • Cut and shape temporary glazing (perspex)
