LOOKING TO BECOME A QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN?
Today's glass often has features like built-in integrated sensors to detect rain and light, sophisticated heating mechanisms, solar reflectors and head up display (HUD) systems. To stay ahead with “smart glass” technologies, glass fitters need to re-skill to understand how complex windscreens work and interact with the rest of the vehicle.
The ATA Auto Glazing scheme is a combination of training, on-going assessment and experience in the field. Technicians will be able to aim for three accreditation levels dependent on knowledge, skills and experience, ultimately leading to
Master Auto Glazing Technician status. Those qualifying will be issued a unique photo identity card, to be used as recognition for their expertise.
Whether you're looking to embark on career as a glazing expert, or need to upgrade your skills, call our friendly team for more information. Gaining ATA certification is the best starting point for anyone wanting to start or progress their career as an auto specialist.
Book in advance with us to secure your place - we will send you an invoice once your payment has been received. Please send payment at least 1 week before your assessment day and make cheques payable to "The Independent Windscreen Academy".
CHANGES TO THE ATA VALIDITY PERIOD
From April 1st 2012 the accreditation period for ATA graduates will be reduced from 5 years to 3 years, which will apply to new trainees and those extending their existing accreditation.
